Habitat High

HabitatHigh is the only program of its kind within Habitat International, utilizing high school juniors and seniors as an accredited course in the Hall County and Gainesville City School systems.  The Hall County program started in 2007 and Gainesville High started their program in 2016.

There are 17 students currently  enrolled in the this collaborative program with Habitat for Humanity of Hall County.

How it works

Juniors and Seniors from both school systems submit an application and go through an interview process.

Students work on a Habitat Hall County site four mornings a week gaining on the job experience in all facets of home building.

Students gain class credit, work experience and help the community. Most students who graduate from the program go into the construction field after graduation.
